I know about ’911 Tab Search engine’, and ‘Ultimate-Guitar’ but there isn’t always good tabs.
Does anyone know any tab sites that only allow good tabs?
Rock and acoustic tabs preferably.

http://www.cleantab.com is really good!
There aren’t any good guitar tab sites. A few years ago there were some accurate tabs online, but they were shut down in a huge lawsuit. The suit couldn’t go after terribly inaccurate tabs, so those stayed up on sites (and they are still all over). Once in a blue moon, I will run across a tab that is pretty good. But after a few listens to the original recording, I can tell there are mistakes. How do you think they sell tab books? Which, btw, aren’t always %100 accurate either. I am a guitar instructor, and my students are always wanting different songs to learn that I have never heard. So I’ll go onto tab sites sometimes to get the basic riff of a song. %90 of the time I have to copy and paste the online tabs into Word and edit them because they are so bad that I couldn’t give them to any of my students. Other times I will look up tabs/chords because I play in a lot of cover bands and have to learn songs quickly. If I am tired or lazy, I’ll get the chords from a tab site. But I almost always hear the mistakes in the tab while playing along with the recordings. Luckily my ear is very very good, and once I know what key a song is in, I can quickly figure out what the right notes are supposed to be.
If I can’t find a decent tab online, I often resort to youtube if I am feeling especially lazy. Lazy because I could transcribe any song as good as a tab book you would buy. Anyway, sometimes there are good youtube videos showing how to play songs. At least you can hear their version and decide, before you try to learn it, whether it is good.
I think there is nothing worse than a beginning guitar player with a terrible ultimateguitar.com tab. They can barely play in the first place. The ear is not developed so they can’t tell what is wrong with what they are playing.
Some good advice would be to develop your ear and learn songs by listening to them. Audacity.com has a free download for a program that has a utility which lets you slow down any song to make it easier to figure out by ear.
Just please, when you finally make your first tab of your new favorite song, don’t post it on a tab site!!!
You want perfect tabs? Get Guitar Pro 5 and go to Ultimate-guitar.com and search for song and look for the Guitar Pro version with the most stars and open it up in Guitar Pro. Then you will be a badass.
If you cant afford Guitar Pro, Torrent it at Piratebay.org.
So this is where you can find out how to play some of your favourite songs!! Most of them have a tab and video or two to make sure you get them sounding cool!
Some of the easier songs have been simplified for beginners and in the advanced lessons I try and go into as much detail as I can. Lots more are planned but I try and focus more o n lessons, and songs that will help you develop a certain skill.
