- Since the wood is not plastered with lacquer it really vibrates. Because of this, the sound is very distinctive. It has a loud, dark, warm and very mellow, very Romantic tone.
- The only downside is that in order to get that distinctive sound (by not having the lacquer) you give up some of the protection of the wood itself. It is easy to ding and dent. This is not a great penalty.
The Seagull is well built and the sound is just fantastic!
